Looking for divine blessings and prosperity? Find out why June 9, 2026, is a rare spiritual opportunity and the Hanuman ritual devotees are performing on this sacred day.

June 9, 2026, is believed to be one of the most significant spiritual dates of that year through the conjunction of Bada Mangal, Punarvasu Nakshatra, and Jupiter - Venus connection in Cancer. Collectively combining these sacred cosmic energies serves as a rare opportunity to receive Lord Hanuman’s blessings to eliminate barriers as well as receive abundance, prosperity, and emotional healing to your life.

Why June 9, 2026, Is So Special

In the Hindu lunar calendar, only certain days are deemed spiritually powerful, and June 9, 2026, would also be one of those dates. This day is the 6th Bada Mangal during Jyeshtha month on a Tuesday and worshiptimes are dedicated to Lord Hanuman.

Devotees of Lord Hanuman normally would offer worship during the four Bada Mangals in Jyeshtha, but due to the occurrence of Adhik Maas, (something like a leap year), year 2026 will offer eight Bada Mangals (or "sacred" Tuesdays) for worship, charity work, and continued spiritual development.

At the same time, the planets Jupiter (the "guru") and Venus (the "shukra") have formed a rare beneficial conjunction in Karka Rashi (the "cancer sign") in the Punarvasu Nakshatra that is said to enhance the blessings in regard to any of the areas of prosperity, emotional balance, wisdom, relationships, and spiritual growth.

At Sanatangyan Temple, rare alignments with the Universe are seen as opportunities for us to rehabilitate our faith and Invite positive transformational experiences.

The Spiritual Meaning of Punarvasu Nakshatra

Punarvasu is the 7th nakshatra of Vedic astrology. Aditi is its ruling planet, and Punarvasu means "renewal" or "return to goodness."

This Nakshatra is associated with:

  • Second chances

  • Healing and recovery

  • Emotional restoration

  • Hope and optimism

  • Divine protection

  • Abundance and growth

When active by strong planets like Jupiter or Venus, the energy of Punarvasu gives extra support to overcome adversity and find solutions to long-standing problems.

The energy of Punarvasu fits perfectly with the philosophies of Sanatan Dharma, in which every challenge is an opportunity for you to spiritual grow.

The Blessings of Bada Mangal

Bada Mangal (Tuesday) is revered for worshipping Lord Hanuman in most of Northern India, especially Uttar Pradesh, and is widely considered one of the most auspicious days for doing so.

The scriptures indicate that Hanuman is an obstacle and the remover of fear:

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम्।

वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतं शरणं प्रपद्ये॥

Salutations to Lord Hanuman, who possesses the speed of the wind, mastery over the senses, supreme intelligence, and unwavering devotion to Lord Rama.

Devotees who pray on Bada Mangal will receive strength, courage, protection and success when they have to deal with trying circumstances or events.

The Powerful Hanuman Ritual for Divine Blessings

According to spiritual leaders, to align one's self with the holy energy of the day, one should perform a simple ritual every morning.

Step 1: Begin Before Sunrise

Awake before sunrise, bathe and wear red clothing, red is a symbolic of strength, courage, and divine energy of Lord Hanuman.

Step 2: Prepare the Sacred Offerings

Light a ghee lamp and light incense sticks; also bring the following offerings:

  • Sindoor mixed with oil

  • Red flowers

  • Imarti or boondi

  • Fresh water

The re-occuring symbolism of red and orange is believed to enhance the effectiveness of the blessings from Bada Mangal.

Step 3: Recite Hanuman Chalisa

Recite the Hanuman Chalisa 11 times with devotion and focus. The following is an excerpt from one of the many famous lines from the Hanuman Chalisa that is indicative of Hanuman's tremendous power:

संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा। जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा॥

All troubles and sufferings disappear for those who remember the mighty Hanuman with faith.

Step 4: Chant the Savra Siddhi Mantra

Upon completing the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, chant at least 11 times the "Savra Siddhi Mantra" along with your prayers and intentions.

Step 5: Perform Hanuman Aarti

At the conclusion of the ritual, perform the Aarti for Hanuman and distribute the prasad to family, friends and devotees.

The Importance of Seva and Charity

No spiritual practice is considered complete without selfless service.

After completing the ritual, devotees can donate:

  • Sindoor

  • Red flowers

  • Boondi or laddoos

  • Coconuts

  • Seasonal fruits

  • Betel leaves

These offerings may be given at a Hanuman temple, to saints, or to those in need.

A powerful act of seva is to feed monkeys bananas, since monkeys are associated with Lord Hanuman.

The Bhagavad Gita beautifully highlights the importance of selfless offering:

पत्रं पुष्पं फलं तोयं यो मे भक्त्या प्रयच्छति।

Whoever offers a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or water with devotion, that offering is accepted by the Divine.
