The sacred fast for Papmochani Ekadashi will be completed on the following day, 16 March 2026 (Dwadashi Tithi), first light or Parana, will mark the completion of the sacred fast therefore breaking of Fast is a very important traditional practice according to Vedic tradition. Shashtra emphasizes that the correct way to complete a sacred fast and have a successful completion of the sacred fast is to properly perform the sacred fast and complete the breaking of fast at an opportune time.

The word Papmochani comes from two Sanskrit words:
Pap – meaning sin
Mochani – meaning removal or liberation

Why Lord Vishnu Is Worshipped on Ekadashi
