A Grand Celebration of Devotion and Culture

The ISKCON Sandton Rathayatra 2025 festival was the fourth yearly event organized by ISKCON Sandton together with the Africa Ratha Yatra Alliance (ARYA). With the theme “Culturally Many, Spiritually One,” the festival showed how people from different backgrounds can come together through shared spiritual devotion.

The main event of the festival was the big chariot procession. Thousands of people pulled a beautifully decorated chariot carrying Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva, and Lady Subhadra through the busy streets of Sandton. The chariot was decorated with fresh marigold flowers, bright fabrics, and traditional ornaments, making a wonderful sight that showed divine love and grace.

With the steady beats of mridanga and jembe drums and the chants of “Hare Krishna,” the procession was full of joy, peace, and spiritual energy. Families, youth groups, and spiritual leaders all danced and sang together with devotion, showing the true spirit of Bhakti Yoga.
