How to Perform Ganesh Sthapana at Home
Before installing the idol of Bappa in the Puja room, one must cleanse that place and decorate it with flowers, toran and traditional symbols. The Swastika can be drawn at the place where the idol will be installed and then offerings of flower and rice must be made.
Then the idol is kept properly on chowki or altar. Traditionally, Puja involves worshipping Lord Ganesha with offerings of flower, durva, modak, fruits, sandal wood, dhoop and deepa followed by Ganesh Aarti.

The major Ganesh Visarjan will be celebrated on Friday, September 25, 2026, which falls on Anant Chaturdashi.
