Confused about Bhaimi Ekadashi 2026? Find the exact date, fasting rules, puja, and how it frees past sins.

Bhaimi Ekadashi (known as Jaya Ekadashi) occurs on the 29th of January, 2026. This holy Vaishnava fast provides success against negativity and release from previous sinful actions. The holy texts of Sanatangyan and Vedic shashtra also state that through devotion, discipline, and complete surrender, you will receive divine blessings from Shri Krishna.

What Is Bhaimi (Jaya) Ekadashi?

Jaya refers to victory over evil, inner weakness, and ignorance. In this instance, Ekadashi is the 11th lunar day. This Ekadashi is also called Bhaimi Ekadashi because it occurs during the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the Magha month.

According to Sanatangyan, Ekadashi is not merely a fast but a spiritual discipline that purifies the mind and soul. Saints, sadhu, and guru traditions have always emphasized Ekadashi as a path toward liberation (moksha).

When Is Bhaimi Ekadashi 2026? (29 or 30 January?)

Why Bhaimi Ekadashi Is Called the Door to Freedom From Sins

Ancient shashtra explain that this Ekadashi destroys sins accumulated over many lifetimes. The Padma Purana glorifies this vrat as a divine shield against suffering.

 “एकादशी व्रतं पुण्यं सर्वपापप्रणाशनम्।” (Padma Purana)

The Ekadashi vrat is supremely pious and destroys all sins.

Sanatangyan teaches that sincere repentance along with devotion is the only way to remove even the heaviest karmic burden from you.

The Life-Changing Story of Jaya Ekadashi

The story of Bhaimi Ekadashi from the Vrat Katha tells about a group of Gandharvas who lost their sanity because of their past wrongs and were wandering around in pain. They went in search of a guru and sadhu to help them. After receiving the guru's advice, they observed the vrat of Jaya Ekadashi with faith and discipline.

Pleased by their sincerity, Shri Krishna freed them from the curse and restored their divine dignity. This story from ancient shashtra reminds devotees that no soul is ever rejected when it returns to the Lord with a pure heart.

Spiritual Significance of Bhaimi Ekadashi

The significance of the vrat of Jaya Ekadashi, known as Bhaimi Ekadashi, is inner transformation. The energies of Jaya Ekadashi burn off all previous karmic reactions and help you develop your devotion; it also teaches you a new level of self-control, compassion, and humility.

अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते।

तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्॥ - Bhagavad Gita (9.22)

“To those who worship Me with unwavering devotion, I preserve what they have and provide what they lack.”

Sanatangyan is the science of reluctant surrender, in which complete submission leads to Divine Protection.
